Profile of Miwa Natori
Born in 1946 in Japan, Miwa moved to Germany at the age of 16, where she studied commercial design.
Miwa worked in Europe and Japan as a photographer, designer and translator, while raising her daughter.
In 1997, Miwa visited Thailand and for first time met orphaned children with HIV. This prompted her to establish Ban Rom Sai in 1999.
Today, Miwa continues to manage the orphanage and plays an integral role in promoting various projects for the children's future. As a mother to the 30 orphans, her vision and passion are a driving force at Ban Rom Sai.
